Delicious sweets typical of the province of Teramo. They are also called "landed almonds”.
Preparation
Toast the almonds the peel (if you prefer with no peel, boil them first and than toast them).
Put some water and sugar in a pan and bring it to a boil and then add the cocoa. Once the cocoa is melted, add the almonds and mix the mixture for about a minute.
Grease a pastry board and put the dough in it to make it cool until the almonds harden.
Ingredients
1 kg. of almonds, 900 gr. of sugar, 30 gr. of cocoa, a pinch of cinnamon, a little grated lemon zest, half a glass of water and, if you want, a pinch of nutmeg, oil to taste.
