Departing from the country of Casale San Nicola you climb toward path n° 5 that it brings to the source of San Nicola from which a fresh and crystalline water gushes out. Here you can admire a votive newspaper kiosk. Inside the source there is a tile in ceramics of Castelli that illustrates legend of the Saint that recomposes and resuscitate three little boys.
From the path in around 10 minutes you reach San Nicola church (1096 ms) where you also find the ruins of the hermitage of Camaldolesi monks. Here you are near the slopes of "Paretone" made of rock of the Oriental peak of Corno Grande . Going down toward the underlying channel, you cross the stream and take the path n°4 that hands to Fonte Nera(1060 ms).
From here it continues to path n°6 that goes down toward left and reenters to Casale San Nicola.
