The excursion departs from Leofara (1074 ms), situated in Valle Castellana. Crossing an ancient path, used in Roman period as "shortcut" of Salaria, you go toward the peak of Ceraso mountain (1411 ms) dipped in the uncontaminated nature of Monti della Laga. From here you go down to the tourist place of Ceppo (1330 ms), located in Rocca Santa Maria, well known for local porcini mushrooms.
You also should visit the beautiful Morricana falls, in the heart of Monti della Laga.
