It is a very old church, probably from the 12th century, initially dedicated to Santa Maria, then to San Savino and finally from 1730 to Sant'Ambrogio after a Bull by the Bishop of Teramo Monsignor Pietro Agostino Scorza. It has a gabled roof and a bell gable at the back which houses a bell. The interior is basic but dignified, with a single hall and ceiling reinforced by exposed wooden beams. Near the entrance there is the plaque with the Cross of Indulgences of Pope Leo XIII which bears the inscription Iesus Christus Deus Homo Vivit Regnat Imperat MCMI and Osculantibus crucem hanc in ecclesia positam et recitantibus Pater indulgentia 200 dierum semel in diem. At his side there is a stoup and a tannery, both in stone.
