It is located in the village of Pastignano, a tiny center consisting of about ten houses. It was built in 1935 to replace a nearby seventeenth-century church that had been destroyed. It has a gabled roof and the entrance portal has a flat architrave surmounted by a lunette with a round arch with a decorated frame enriched with three carved figures: the head of a man on the left, that of a woman on the right and a dragon in the middle. Someone has given a precise meaning to this symbolism recognizing respectively the prior Father of the Convent of San Pietro di Azzano, the Mother Abbess of San Giovanni a Scorzone and the devil, or the alleged protagonists of the legendary sinful events to which the popular tradition attributed the cause of the destruction of the Convent of San Giovanni a Scorzone. The bell tower, sail, is positioned at the back and supports a bell, perhaps also coming from the same Monastery. The interior has a single hall and preserves an 18th century baptismal font.
