It is a church with a particular and very beautiful structure and explicitly inspired by the Pantheon of Rome. It is characterized by a circular plan and by the dome and is made entirely of bricks. The project was curated by the architect Teramo Giuseppe Lupi and its construction authorized by Royal Decree of 21 July 1852 of Ferdinand II King of the Two Sicilies.
The start of the work was officially given in 1853, when the first stone was laid by the Bishop of Teramo, Monsignor Michele Milella, and on 2 January 1876 it was inaugurated. Later the church was restored several times, enlarged and embellished, for example in 1908 when the dome was renovated and in 1958 when the external entablature was made on the entrance portal where the statue of the Madonna del Rosario was placed and the frescoes were painted in the apse and on the walls. The church has a small bell gable that houses a bell.
