It is located along an ancient road traveled by the transhumance on the Colle della Sgrima that overlooks the Schiaviano district. The original structure dates back to 1324 although the current configuration is the one that came out of the 16th century restructuring.
It has a traditional gabled roof and a bell gable that supports three bells, one of which is smaller than the others. The interior is distinguished by two classrooms, each with its own altar, without apses and separated by two large arches resting on a pillar.
Above the altar there is a small fresco depicting Jesus crucified, while on the other altar there is another fresco, much larger, of the Madonna on the throne with Child among Saints Peter, Sebastian, Rocco and Paul.
Finally, you can admire other paintings and two statues of the Madonna, one of which came from Ortisei (BZ) and built in 1971. Popular tradition has it that the church was transported centuries ago by Fano Adriano on the Colle della Sgrima from the Virgin Mary with a miracle similar to that of the translation of the Holy House from Nazareth to the Sanctuary of Loreto.
