Church of San Filippo Neri

It is located in the heart of the historic center of Montorio al Vomano, sheltered from the houses and in the maze of narrow streets and alleys that characterize this beautiful village. It was built in the early eighteenth century and then restored in the eighties of the twentieth century and expanded with the addition of the bell tower.

You have to go along a relatively long staircase to get to the beautiful entrance portal that in the tympanum above it bears the coat of arms of the city. Also on the facade you can see a statue of San Filippo Neri kept in a special kiosk. The interior has a single nave at the end of which is the main altar, while the vault is embellished with valuable frescoes.
