It is the church that can be seen just coming out of the Gran Sasso tunnel towards Teramo. The building is quite large and enjoys a highly spectacular position as it is located at the foot of the highest peaks of the Gran Sasso.

The roof is gabled with a protruding front that leads to the entrance portal which is surmounted by a lunette in which is placed a mosaic consisting of 41 rectangular tiles in majolica depicting a Madonna with Child, St. Gabriel and St. Nicholas.

On the left wall there is a beautiful sailing bell tower that houses three bells. The interior is very beautiful, with long exposed stone walls and a painting by the ceramist Nicola Cappelletti (1691-1767) depicting two miracles of St. Nicholas.
