Built in 1903 and consecrated on July 30, 1911, it was elevated to an autonomous parish in 1927 and, renovated in the early eighties, was reopened to the faithful on December 8, 1984. It is an imposing structure with a gabled roof and a facade embellished by a fine pediment and a motif with round arches surmounting the entrance portal.

On the back there is a bell gable that supports only one bell. The interior has a single nave that ends with the apse where the altar is located, while the presbytery area is separated from the area destined for the faithful by means of two steps. Behind the altar there is a statue of Christ bearing the inscription Cor Jesu veniat regnum tuum, while near the entrance there is a small statue of the still-wearing little Madonna to whom the Church is dedicated.

A reliquary near the altar houses the statue of the Madonna del Porto Salvo, bought in 1942 to replace the one in 1912 made of papier-mâché. Protectress of the sailors, it is very revered by the inhabitants of the place so much that, starting from 1936, every second Sunday of August there is a big party in its honor culminating with a procession in the sea of fishing boats. Another statue of the Madonna was placed in a kiosk at the entrance of the north pier of the port and around it, with the passage of time, gravestones were placed to remember and honor the memory of those who lost their lives in sea.
