The Chapel was built between 1970 and 1980 in the building of the Little Opera Charitas and consecrated to the Madonna della Tendzza, depicted in a splendid and precious icon almost certainly dating back to the second half of the seventeenth century, as attested by the expertise made by John Linday Opie, the world's leading expert in the field of Russian iconography.
The Chapel presents a single room without apse, whose presbytery area is enriched by a beautiful stained glass window, created by Father Silvio Alessandri (1919-2002), known as Ugolino da Belluno. Accessing the church the first thing that stands out is undoubtedly the enormous image of the founder of the Little Opera Charitas, Father Serafino Colangeli (1923-2009), portrayed on his knees and gathered in prayer.
Relevant also the valuable bronze crucifix and two large canvases near the altar depicting the Last Supper and Emmaus. Close to the wall in front of the altar there is a large and beautiful mechanical pipe organ made by an organic workshop of Torre dei Nolfi di Bugnara, in the province of L'Aquila.
