Located in the main square of the village, it is probably the reconstruction of another building built in 1335 on the ruins of an ancient pagan temple. The back, where the main altar is located, dates back to the 16th century.

The façade is horizontal crowning with a large round window surmounting the stone portal which has a lunette with nineteenth-century majolica depicting Saints Peter and Paul on top.

Between the two figures the writing Claviger hoc fanum tu protege is visible, you wish doctor aedis, et hac vestri iure fruatur ope nam vobis, merit quod corde dicavit asylum sic superum auxilio, sustulit aere suo. TO. 1693 (O you who possess the keys [St. Peter] protect this temple and you doctor of the temple [St. Paul] favor it, and in this way for your right you can take advantage of this work who he deservedly dedicated to you asylum and, with help from superiors, supported him with his own substances).

Above the big oculus is the coat of arms of Fano Adriano dated 1584: a castle with three towers crenellated with the higher one. The roof is gabled, the imposing bell tower and square base and the interior has three naves, divided by two round arches on each side, of which the central one, ending in the presbytery without an apse, has a beautiful wooden ceiling. coffered dated 1608.

The high altar is in baroque style with carved wooden spiral columns, carved and painted in gold. Sideways to it there are the statues of St. Peter and St. Paul. Under the arches are many frescoes with decorative motifs and figures of saints, dating back to the late sixteenth century, while in the left chapel the few remaining frescoes are dated 1556. In addition to the main altar there are three other altars, of the late seventeenth century , of which the smallest is located at the end of the right aisle.

All are baroque with wooden spiral columns painted in gold. In the church you can also admire a font of 1636, a relic of St. Valentine, an organ of 1756 restored in the seventies of the last century and a stone basin of 1569 that belonged to a fountain of the village called Fonte della Cannalecchia with the coat of arms of Fano Adriano.

With reference to the latter it is interesting to note the presence of the letters F and T, abbreviations of Fano Troiano, a name that for a long time has alternated with the current one.
