It is located in the uninhabited hamlet of Castiglione della Valle and was built in the 12th century. It is distinguished by having an imposing and massive structure, with a gabled roof and a large bell gable that houses four bells of different sizes, three of which are aligned at the bottom.

The interior has two naves, one of which is the main and oldest, while the other has been added with an important work of restoration and renovation from the unspecified date. On the façade there are two portals, of which the original one is larger and full of architectural elements.

Both portals are surmounted by two large round windows that illuminate the interior which shows off a baroque furniture and many valuable elements such as the beautiful golden altar, the eighteenth century frescoes, the organ of 1797 and the fine wooden ceiling entirely also painted in the eighteenth century.
