It is the parish church of the Municipality and was built in 1526 in honor of Our Lady and perennial remembrance of its appearance on 18 May 1480 near Canzano.
The name derives from the white poplar tree commonly known as Alno, above which the Madonna appeared to a peasant intent on working in the fields. The interior has a single nave, the presbytery area is raised by a step and in it you can admire a marble altar of exquisite workmanship on which is depicted the apparition of the Madonna of the Alno.
Behind the altar there is a beautiful altarpiece of the Madonna del Rosario depicted between San Domenico and San Nicola di Bari, a work of the first half of the 18th century by the artist Pasquale Rico from Montereale. Also not to be missed is the 17th century holy water font, an eighteenth-century wooden reliquary, several seventeenth-eighteenth-century paintings and the plaque with the Cross of Indulgences granted in 1901 by Pope Leo XIII placed above the holy water font.
