It is located in the hamlet of Campovalano, in the middle of the countryside, and is an ancient church, very beautiful and with an imposing structure. It was built by Benedictine monks in the eighth century and then rebuilt in 1200 by the monks of St. Norbert Premonstratensian, who also built an adjoining convent of which some structures remain.
It consists of five buildings, has a basilica plan with three naves separated by pointed arches supported by low and massive pillars and has a beautiful and squat bell tower about fifteen meters high that houses several bells.
Inside you can admire a huge Cross with Christ the King suspended in the void to overhang the altar, remains of valuable frescoes and a painted terracotta statue of the Madonna holding Baby Jesus in her arms. Also on a wall is a Roman sarcophagus dating back to the fourth century adorned with Christian designs.
